Chelsea have reportedly made an offer to AC Milan for teenage sensation Gianluigi Donnarumma as they look to add him to their squad.
The Blues’ proposal for Donnarumma have been born out of the fact that the club sees him as a potential replacement for Real Madrid target Thibaut Courtois, with reports suggesting Los Blancos’ interest in engaging the Belgian’s services this summer.
As reported by the Daily Mail, the West London side are prepared to shell out €38 million in order to land the 17-year old.
The Diavolo have fiercely fended off suitors for the custodian in the past including the likes of Barcelona and Manchester United, though it remains to be seen whether the Milanese giants are able to resist such an amount given the club’s fragile financial state.
Donnarumma has only enhanced his burgeoning reputation this season by keeping a total of seven clean sheets while making 47 saves leading many pundits to dub him the next Gianluigi Buffon.
